Ptychadenidae is a family of frogs.[1][2] These frogs occur in Sub-Saharan Africa. The common name of the family is grassland frogs.[1]

Ptychadenidae was previously considered to be a tribe or subfamily in the Ranidae family, but its position as a family is now well established.[1][2][3]
