Soundtrack

The music composed by Viswanathan-Ramamoorthy.[3] Lyrics by Mahakavi Bharathiyar, Thanjai N. Ramaiah Dass, A. Maruthakasi, Pattukkottai Kalyanasundaram & M. K. Athmanathan. Singer is J. P. Chandrababu. Playback singers are C. S. Jayaraman, T. M. Soundararajan, A. L. Raghavan, P. Suseela & M. K. Punitham.

Vinnodum mukhilodum, sung by C. S. Jayaraman and P. Suseela, was a big hit. Shot at Elliot’s Beach, the song had Padmini and a slim and supple Sivaji doing somersaults! Two songs by J. P. Chandrababu, Hello, My dear Raami and Unakkaaga Ellam Unakkaaga, were also hits. The first has a humming lalala..., lifted from the The Wedding Samba by Edmundo Ros. The tune was repeated in the Hindi Tangewali (1955) in Halkey Halkey (composed by Salil Chowdhury).
