Pukaqucha (Quechua puka red, qucha lake,[1] "red lake", hispanicized spelling Pucacocha) is a lake in the Willkanuta mountain range in Peru. It is situated in the Cusco Region, Quispicanchi Province, Ocongate District. Pukaqucha lies between the lake Sinkrinaqucha in the north-west and the lake Warurumiqucha in the south-east. The small lakes north and south of it are called Allqaqucha ("black-and-white lake", Alcacocha) and Yanaqucha ("black lake", Yanacocha).[2]
