Puri-Gandhidham Express is a super fast rail service between Puri,Odisha and Gandhidham,Gujarat.This train was announced in the 2011 rail budget and started service on 14-Nov,2011.This train leaves Gandhidham at 22:45 every Friday and reaches Puri at 16;15 every Sunday and again this train leaves Puri at 19:50 every Monday and reaches Gndhidham at 15:20 every Wednesday

Recently in its bid to provide comfortable journey to the commuters, Ministry of Railways have decided to introduce a new weekly Express Train between Puri and Gandhidham.On the inaugural run, this train will leave from Gandhidham on 8 October 2014. However, from Puri, this train will leave on every Saturday (11 October 2014). Gandhidham-Puri Weekly Express Train will leave Gandhidham at 1930hrs on every Wednesday and will reach Puri at 1955hrs on every Friday. In the return direction, Puri-Gandhidham weekly Express will leave from Puri at 0905hrs on every Saturday and will reach Gandhidham at 0930hrs on every Monday.

Traction

From Gandhidham to Ahmedabad, a Vatva based WDM-3A hauls the train after which a Vadodara based WAP-4E hauls the train until Raipur after which a Visakhapatnam based WDM-3A locomotive hauls the train until Puri.
