Push (Moist song)
"Push" is the debut single by Canadian alternative rock group Moist from the band's first studio album, Silver. The song was very successful in Canada, peaking at #32 on Canada's Singles Chart.[1] The song was also nominated for "Single of the Year" at the 1995 Juno Awards.[2] It is considered to be one of the band's signature songs.
The song has been featured on the compilations Oh What a Feeling: A Vital Collection of Canadian Music and Big Shiny 90s. In 2000, a re-recorded version of the song was included on the U.S. version of Mercedes 5 and Dime.
Music video
The music video for "Push" was directed by Brenton Spencer and filmed in Black and white. The video reached #1 on the MuchMusic Countdown for the week of June 10, 1994. The video also won the "Best Video" award at the 1995 Juno Awards.[2] The video was critiqued on the 1995 Beavis and Butt-Head episode "Bad Dog".
