Patrick "Putter" Smith (born January 19, 1941) is an American jazz bassist, recording artist, music teacher, author, and actor.

Smith is also known for his movie role as assassin Mr. Kidd, played alongside Mr. Wint (Bruce Glover), in the 1971 James Bond movie, Diamonds Are Forever, starring Sean Connery as 007.[1]
