Pyramidella maculosa is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Pyramidellidae, the pyrams and their allies.[1][2][3]
Description
The white shell is nebulously longitudinally strigate with pale orange-chestnut, frequently breaking up into revolving series of dots. The aperture is channeled at the aperture. The columella is three-plicate.[4] The length of the shell varies between 18 mm and 50 mm.
Distribution
This marine species occurs in the Red Sea, off New Zealand and in the following locations of the Indian Ocean :[1]
