Qiong Prefecture (Hainan)
Qiongzhou or Qiong Prefecture (瓊州) was a zhou (prefecture) in imperial China seated in modern Haikou, Hainan, China. It existed (intermittently) from the 631 to 1370, when it was recreated as Qiongzhou Prefecture under the Ming dynasty.
