Quebec City Film Festival (QCFF) is a film festival held annually in September, in Quebec City, Canada. It screens short and feature films and premieres movies from Quebec.

History

Founded in 2011, Quebec City Film Festival (QCFF) is a non-profit organisation which strives to offer to Quebec film enthusiasts, as well as to the general public, a major film event, alike other iconic international film festivals.

It is a renowned and recognised platform where are screened premieres of awaited new feature films, whether they are international or local productions. QCFF also supports local talents and filmmakers, offering them an opportunity to showcasing their works to the public and media.

Since its first edition, the festival has been presenting every autumn, during eleven days, about 50 international features and 120 short films, coming from various countries and representing all cinematographic genres, which attract more than 25,000 spectators. As the festival aims at creating an experience that goes beyond films, each screening becomes an event in itself, with the presence of filmmakers, actors and crew members. Over the last five years, QCFF is proud that more 300 guests have been to the festival, including famous directors such as Jean-Claude Labrecque, Xavier Dolan, Jean-Marc Vallée, Denys Arcand, Christophe Gans, Mike Figgis, Larry Clark etc. not to forget the multiple cast members, producers and actors.
