Queen Sirikit Botanic Garden
The Queen Sirikit Botanical Garden in Amphoe Mae Rim, Chiang Mai Province, Thailand was opened in 1992 and is maintained under the auspices of the Thai Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. The facility's purpose is to conduct and promote botanical research, biodiversity and to conserve Thailand's natural plant resources. Originally named the Mae Sa Botanic Garden, it was renamed after Sirikit, Queen of Thailand in 1994.
