R. Milton Johnson is an American businessman from Tennessee. He serves as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Hospital Corporation of America.
Early life
R. Milton Johnson was born in Nashville, Tennessee.[1] He graduated from Belmont University, where he received a bachelor's degree in accounting.[2]
Career
Johnson worked for Ernst & Young.[1]
He joined the Hospital Corporation of America in 1982.[1] He has served as its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer since 2014.[2] He serves as the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce.[3]
Philanthropy
Johnson serves on the Boards of the Nashville Health Care Council and the United Way of Metropolitan Nashville.[1] He serves on the Board of Trustees of his alma mater, Belmont University, for 2014-2015.[4]
Political activity
In 2015, Johnson donated US$1,500,000 in political contributions to Megan Barry's successful campaign to become Mayor of Nashville.[5]
Personal life
He is married to Denise Johnson.[1] They have two children.[1]
