R4 is an expressway in eastern Slovakia.
Its route is: SK/H border (planned Hungarian motorway M30) - Košice (R2) - (shared section with D1) - Prešov - Svidník - SK/PL border, where it will connect with future Express Road S19.
From 108 km (excluding the shared section) there are:
- 18,8 km in operation
- 0 km under construction
- 24,4 km planned (prior to 2010).
The rest, i.e. the sections north of Prešov (except the Svidník bypass), are planned to be built after 2010.
