R.J. Tolson (born 15 May 1993) is an American fantasy author and composer. His first novel Zephyr the West Wind: Final Edition, a finalist in the both Beverly Hills Book Awards and the National Indie Excellence Book Awards was released in 2012.[1][2] Tolson is also the CEO of international multi-divisional company RJTIO and the international charitable organization 'Forever Trust Charity'.[3]

Biography

Koop Sel, an owner of a German independent publishing company helped Tolson publish his first edition of Zephyr the West Wind in 2011, only to found another indie publishing company (Universal Kingdom Print) and sign on Tolson.[4] Later in 2012, another edition (Zephyr the West Wind: Final Edition) was released.

In 2011, Tolson founded his company, RJTINC. Originally creating websites and servicing computer installation, Tolson expanded and changed the name of his company to RJTIO. By the end of 2011, RJTIO became parent company to three divisions, RJTINC (Web Design), R.L. Infinity International (“Startup Company" Building & Tutoring), and international charitable division Forever Trust Charity.

RJ Tolson and Zephyr the West Wind have appeared on multiple television shows including NBC,[5] both CBS Live at 9 and WUSA CBS,[6] The Stan Simpson Show and The Fox Morning Show,[7] Our Lives (News 12 Networks),[8] and ABC.[9][10] He made his debut festival appearance at the 2013 Baltimore Book Festival as a panelist, and also attended the 2013 National Black Book Festival in Texas.[11][12]

Tolson appeared on Telemundo,[13] his first international interview. He released his self-help book, Project: Limitless on April 28, 2014.[14][15] On July 17, 2014, Tolson's first composed album, "The Zephyr the West Wind (Original Book Soundtrack)", featuring 20 classical pieces based off the book was released.[16]

On April 11, 2015, Tolson became a Mangaka and released the first full length volume of his Japanese style Manga "True Life (Legends of Tye Series), Volume 1: Fate Calls", and on April 13, RJ released his second classical original book soundtrack as a precursor to the book it was inspired by, titled "The Hugh the Southern Flame (Original Book Soundtrack)". After attending university in California,[17] he graduated from Whittier College on May 15, 2015.[18] After three years of mentioning the release of the second book in his first fantasy series on television, Tolson released the sequel to Zephyr, "Hugh the Southern Flame" on August 15, 2015.[19]

Tolson embarked on his largest Europe tour to date, during Spring of 2016.[20]
