RShare is an anonymising peer-to-peer file sharing system. It offers resistance to the analysis of who downloads or shares files, with strong encryption to resist traffic sniffing. The client is no longer developed or maintained, but the client's source base was used to create the StealthNet client for the RShare network protocol, which was stopped in March 2011.
Features
- Search functionality and functions to comment on the quality of files.
- Resumption of interrupted downloads.
Drawbacks
- There is no technical documentation about the network protocol.
- Anonymity is unproven.
- The source code contains no documentation at all.
Note: the user guide is write by a users community (Planet Peer)[1][2] that also support I2P use.[3]
