Raffles Resort Canouan Island
Raffles Resort Canouan Island is a luxury hotel owned by the international hotel chain known as Raffles Hotels and Resorts and is one of two resorts on the Caribbean island of Canouan (though a third is on the way). The resort is set on 300 acres (1.2 km2) of a 1,200-acre (4.9 km2) private estate that includes three beaches that are surrounded by one of the world’s largest coral reefs. Raffles Canouan actually occupies a 1/3 of the island that was previously uninhabited.
Raffles Resort Canouan Island is situated on a hill that overlooks the northern Grenadines and is home to the Trump Club Privee, a European styled casino as well as La Varenne – a restaurant and a ballroom. One of the attractions on the island that is a part of the resort is Trump International Golf Club, an 18 hole golf course that spans the island.
The resort features 156 rooms in total. The hotel also stands as a venue for weddings though there is a list of prerequisites in order for a marriage to take place on the island. The resort itself has become a large part of the island probably because it covers so much of the island.
