Rafiganj is a city and a notified area in Aurangabad district in the Indian state of Bihar.

Rafiganj is located at 24°49′N 84°39′E / 24.82°N 84.65°E / 24.82; 84.65[2] It has an average elevation of 89 metres (291 feet). Rafiganj has a named Dhava River.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census,[3] Rafiganj had a population of 55,389. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Rafiganj has an average literacy rate of 79%, more than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 55%, and female literacy is 41%. In Rafiganj, 29% of the population is under 6 years of age.

In Rafiganj "Jama Masjid" is known as one of the biggest mosques in Rafiganj. It was constructed in the 1902. In Rafiganj 'Pachar Pahar' a mountain in which the temple of 'God Parashnath' is founded and a 30 feet painting of 'Lord Mahavira' is built. It is a very beautiful place for tourism.

In Rafiganj, near Railway Station a temple of "Dihbar Bawa (Dihbar Sthan)"is a marriage place of Rafiganj area, and this location is a beautiful tourist destination.
