Ragini Shankar is an Indian violinist who performs Hindustani Classical Music and Fusion. She is the daughter of Dr. Sangeeta Shankar[1] and granddaughter of the renowned Padmabhushan Dr. N. Rajam.[2]

Early life

She began her training at the age of 4 and gave her first public performance as an 11-year-old. [3] She plays violin in the Gayaki Ang.

Education

Ragini Shankar has excelled in her academics being a top ranker in Mechanical Engineering.

Performing career

She has performed in various prestigious festivals like the Europalia,[4] Sawai Gandharva Bhimsen Festival,[5] [6] [7] Dover Lane Music Conference,[8] [9] Saptak Festival of Music,[10] [11] [12] [13] Yaksha (festival),[14] Aarohi for Pancham Nishad,[15] MERU in Netherlands,[16] Jaya Smriti organised by Hema Malini,[17] Temple of Fine Arts,[18] The Association of Performing Arts of India,[19] T. N. Krishnan Foundation,[20] and also been telecast in Idea Jalsa.[21] She also has a music video with her sister Nandini Shankar.[22] and has also recently released her first Indian classical music CD [23]

She currently resides in Mumbai.
