Rehman[1] (born as Abdur Rahman on 27 February 1937 in Panchagarj, Bangladesh and died on18 July 2005). He was a refined movie actor and director,[2] who acted in Bengali, Urdu and Pushtu movies in Dhaka, Karachi and Lahore from 1958 until 1970s.[2]

Career

Rehman made his debut in Ehtesham's Bengali movie: E Desh Tomaar Amaar in 1958 as a villain at 21 years of age.[2] He then moved on as a hero and acted in other films including Uttaran, Talash, Chanda, Darshan, Jowar Bhata and Harano Din. He acted with actress Shabnam in most films.[1]

After the Bangladesh Liberation War, Rehman continued his film career in Pakistan acting in flims Chahat, Doraha, Lagan, etc. Later, he returned to Dhaka and renewed his acting career.[1] His last film was Aamar Shongshar, directed by Ashok Ghosh.[1]
