The three urban cities of Raipur, Bhilai and Durg in West central of Chhattisgarh together creates Raipur-Bhilai-Durg Tri City Metro area. As per 2011 Census of India urban agglomeration population in Raipur, Durg-Bhilai was 2,186,632. The three cities are connected by AH46 and Mumbai-Howrah Rail line. Together they form industrial corridor for multiple steel and cement industries. The three cities are in close geographic proximity (less than 40 km / 25 miles).
