He was a Post Graduate teacher. At present he is retired from teaching job and active in teachers politics.

Politics

He became active in teacher politics from 1977. First time in 1992 he won the election of Member of Legislative Assembly Uttar Pradesh for Kanpur Teachers Constituency as Teachers Group candidate. He also won the election of Member of Legislative Assembly Uttar Pradesh for Kanpur Teachers Constituency as Teachers Group candidate in 1998 and 2004. In 2010 he fought election of Member of Legislative Assembly Uttar Pradesh for Kanpur Teachers Constituency as Independent candidate and won the seat of MLC.[3]

Group leader

In 2010 he formed a new group of UPMSS . At present he is a leading leader of this group.
