Professor Raj Senani [1] (born in 1950 at Budaun), is an eminent academician and researcher in the field of electronics engineering. Apart from teaching courses in the areas related to Analog Circuit Design, he has made significant contributions to the fields of Analog integrated circuits, Analog signal processing and Analog VLSI Circuits, in the course of his research work. He served as the Director of Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT) recently during October 2008-December, 2014 and earlier during 1996-1997 and 2003-2004. After his superannuation on 31st March, 2015, he has been continuing as a Professor in ECE Division of NSIT. In addition, he is also functioning as an Adjunct Professor for National Institute of Technology (NIT), Patna.

Education

He obtained his bachelor's degree from Harcourt Butler Technological Institute( HBTI ) Kanpur and masters in Electrical Engineering from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT), Allahabad University, India. While working as a lecturer in the same college, he initiated his independent research in the areas of Analog Integrated Citcuits and Signal Processing and obtained his Ph.D. for some of his work on `Realisation of Some Classes of Active Networks' in the late eighties.

Professional career

He joined MNR Engineering college, Allahabad MNNIT, as a Lecturer in the Department of Electrical Engineering, in July 1975. Soon after finishing his Ph.D., he was selected for the position of Reader at MNNIT Allahabad in January 1987. In July 1988, he joined as Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Delhi Institute of Technology (DIT), then at Kashmere Gate, New Delhi, India. It later shifted to Dwarka and was renamed as Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT). Dr. Senani became a full Professor at DIT (NSIT) in May 1990.
