Rajeev Govinda Pillai (Malayalam: രാജീവ് ഗോവിന്ദ പിള്ള) is an Indian film actor from Malayalam cinema.[1] Rajeev rose to stardom with Celebrity Cricket League.[2][3] His acting debut was in the movie City of God (2011).
He is a dentist by profession but stopped practicing dentistry to focus on his acting and cricket career. He is best known by his acting in City of God. He is currently shooting his first Hindi movie as hero Gurudakshina in Mumbai.
Career
In 2011, Rajeev made his acting debut as the lead role in the film City of God, which was directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery.
He is regular in Lakme Fashion week, the Wills Lifestyle Fashion Week and then the Couture Week as well.[4] He has walked on the catwalk for Tommy Hilfiger[5] and for designers such as Rohit Bal, Rocky S, Varul Bahl, Arjun Khanna, Digvijay Singh, Abdul Halder, Chaitanya, Abhishek, Tarun Tahiliani, and Leconet Hemanth. Originally a dentist, the fashion bug bit him in London while doing his masters.[6]
Rajeev Pillai has played for Kerala Strikers team in the 2012 and 2013 seasons of the Celebrity Cricket League.[7]
