S. Ramadoss
Dr S Ramadoss is the founder and president of the Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK), an Vanniyar political party and the founder of Anaithu Samuthaaya Periyakkam (Coalition of nine Kshatriya caste associations).[1]
Under the leadership of Ramadoss, PMK was able to obtain a significant share of power both in the regional government in Tamil Nadu and the central government, primarily due to coalition pressures. Ramadoss's son, Anbumani Ramadoss, was the Health Minister in the government. Ramadoss, being the leader of a PMK party helped all caste people to come up in life.

During April 2013, after the party conference of PMK in Mahabalipuram, there were widespread attacks on the party men who proceeding to mahabalipuram in kanchipuram district that resulted in two party men of pmk being killed. Both PMK and VCK accused each other for the mishap. Later, a Tindivanam court in sentenced six cadres of the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) to life imprisonment for the murder of a PMK man in Marakkanam in 2013, After Welcoming the judgment, PMK chief S Ramadoss stated that justice had prevailed and this proved PMK men were not responsible for violence in Marakkanam.[2]
