Rambler Coaches[1] is a bus and coach tour operator in Hastings, East Sussex.

History

Rambler Coaches was founded on 18 April 1924 by Richard Rowland.[2] Operations ceased during World War II when the fleet of three coaches was requestioned. Operations recommenced in 1946. In 1966, Rowland died with the business being taken over by his 16 year old son Colin.[3][4]

In 1974 Colin formed Rambler Minicoaches in partnership with John Goodwin, Later the two businesses were combined with Colin, his mother and Goodwin each having a one-third share.[3][4]

Services

Rambler operate free services to Tesco supermarkets in Bexhill and Hastings.[4][5]

Fleet

As at September 2014 the fleet consisted of 42 buses and coaches.[4]
