Ranch to Market Road 1165 (RM 1165) is a short Ranch to Market road entirely in Culberson County in the U.S. state of Texas maintained by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).

Route description

The western terminus of RM 1165 is at RM 652, approximately 4.5 miles east of the junction with RM 1108. The route travels 0.9 miles east to a pipe line booster station in unincorporated Culberson County.[1][2]

History

FM 1165 was established in 1949 as a 6.2-mile road from FM 1108 (modern-day RM 1108), 5 miles south of its junction with US 62 (at the present day junction of US 62/180 and RM 652), eastward to a "pipe line booster station."[1] In 1959, FM 1165 was re-designated RM 1165. In 1964, the western 4.5 miles of the highway was reassigned to RM 652, and the highway reached its current routing.[1]
