Ranch to Market Road 1221 (RM 1221) is a ranch to market road in eastern Kimble and Menard counties, Texas.[1]
Route description
RM 1221 is approximately 13.5 miles (21.7 km) in length. Its southern terminus is at a junction with US 377 northeast of London.[2] The route travels due north to an intersection with RM 1773 before curving slightly to the northeast. It ends at a junction with SH 29 in Hext.[3] The roadway is two-lane and shoulderless for its entire length.
History
The route was first designated along its current length as FM 1221 in 1949. It was redesignated as an RM in 1959.[1]
