Randel Christmann

Randel Christmann is a Republican politician from North Dakota. He represented the 33rd district in the North Dakota Senate from 1995 to 2013.[1][2][3][4] In 2012, he was elected to the North Dakota Public Service Commission, as one of three members elected statewide.[5]

Biography

Randel Christmann was born on June 16, 1960 in Hazen, North Dakota.[3][4] He graduated with a Bachelor of Administration from North Dakota State University in 1982.[1][2][3][4]

A rancher, he served in the North Dakota Army National Guard from 1977 to 1983.[1][2][3][4] He has been a member of the North Dakota Senate since 1995 and Assistant Majority Leader since 2001.[1]

He sits on the Boards of Directors of West River Telecommunications and the North Dakota Association of Telecommunications Cooperatives.[1][2][3][4] He is Vice President of the Lignite Research Council.[1] He is a member of the National Rifle Association, the American Farm Bureau Federation, the North Dakota Stockmen's Association.[1] In 2007, he received the Public Service Award from the North Dakota Petroleum Marketers Association.[6]

He is married to Bethanie Christmann.[1][2] They live in Hazen and attend Peace Lutheran Church.[1][3]
