Randall "Randy" Lee Roberts (born February 20, 1959) is a well known pastor, preacher, and author. He was born in Bogotá, Colombia to Bob and Bettye Roberts.[1] He is currently the senior pastor at the Loma Linda University Church of Seventh-day Adventists in Loma Linda, California[2] and professor at the Loma Linda University School of Religion.[3] He has written a book entitled Waiting and Longing.[4]

Background

Roberts earned his undergraduate degree from Southwestern Adventist University (college at the time) and his Masters of Divinity from Andrews University Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary. He went on to earn his Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from International University in San Diego, California and his Doctor of Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California.[5]

Roberts began his ministry in Texas where he worked for more than five years. In 1987, Anita Roberts (neé Justiniano) and moved to Loma Linda, California to work as a chaplain at the Loma Linda University Medical Center. While there, he pastored at the Crestline Seventh-day Adventist Church and later the Corona Seventh-day Adventist Church. In 2000, he began pastoring the Loma Linda University Church.[6]
