The splash-back poison frog (Ranitomeya variabilis), also referred to as Zimmermann's poison frog, is a species of poison dart frog known from the Amazonian rainforests of Brazil, Peru, Ecuador, and Colombia.[2] It is arboreal, living in the rainforest canopy.
The species was formerly considered to be synonym of Ranitomeya ventrimaculata.[2]
