Ranty [ˈrantɨ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Wydminy, within Giżycko County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland.[1] It lies approximately 6 kilometres (4 mi) south of Wydminy, 22 km (14 mi) south-east of Giżycko, and 103 km (64 mi) east of the regional capital Olsztyn.
Before 1945 the area was part of Germany (East Prussia).
The village has a population of 200 and just as many geese.
