Rao Gari Illu is a 1988 Telugu drama film produced by Y. Surendra on Annapurna Studios & S. S. Creations banner, directed by Tharani Rao. Starring Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Jayasudha, Revathy in lead roles and Akkineni Nagarjuna in cameo appearance. Music is composed by Chakravarthy. Plot
Anand Rao (Akkineni Nageswara Rao) Public Prosecutor having a happy family, with his wife Jaya (Jayasudha) and 5 children. One day his wife Jaya dies in a road accident, from that day Anand Rao becomes a drunker and his house is completely disintegrated. Anand Rao's friend SP Raghava Rao (Murali Mohan) sends his cousin sister Shanthi (Revathy) as governess to take care of children, from that day children develops affection on Shanthi.
Simultaneously Anand Rao and Raghava Rao always have rivalry with Tata Rao (Nutan Prasad) underworld mafia broker, they want arrest him red-handily just waiting for an opportunity. Meanwhile Anand Rao's elder daughter Lata (Indira) is a big fan of Akkineni Nagarjuna, one day her classmates trap her to showing him and she is accidentally protected by Akkineni Nagarjuna only. Anand Rao and Raghava Rao decides to make marriage to Shanthi, but children are not able to leave her that's why they asks Anand Rao to marry her but he rejects for that reason Shanti leaves home, at the same time Tata Rao kidnaps children. Finally Anand Rao saves his children, gets back Shanthi and marries her.
