Rashid Zaid Al Zlami Al-Otaibi(Arabic: رشيد زيد الزلامي العتيبي) (born 1926- died 29 December 2014) was a Saudi Arabian poet.,[1] he also known as the Bedouin poet.
Career
On March 15, 2008 the Saudi committee for the popular poetry honored him as the most popular poet in Saudi Arabia.[2]
Personal life
Rashid Al Zlami was born in desert of hijaz in 1926, he lived most of his life in Kuwait. He is from Otaybah tribe, one of the most pre-eminent tribes of the Najd region and also hijaz region.
Al-Zlami was a married man. Also, he had five sons (one of them died before one year and a half) and five daughters.
