Rasmus Meyer (4 June 1858 – 14 January 1916) was a Norwegian merchant, mill owner and art collector.
Meyer was born in Bergen to merchant Gerdt Henrich Meyer and Kaia Wilhelmine Wold. He was a cousin of painter Oluf Wold-Torne, and son-in-law of Carl Theodor Fredrik Koller.[1]
He was running a mill in Vaksdal, the largest mill in Norway in the early 1900s. He is best known for his art collection (Rasmus Meyers Samlinger), which after his death was donated to the municipality of Bergen by his sons. He was decorated Knight of the Order of St. Olav in 1911.[1][2]
