Raul Bocanegra is an American politician and former member of the California State Assembly. He is a Democrat who represented the 39th district, encompassing northeastern San Fernando Valley. Prior to being elected to the state assembly, he was an urban planner, and then Chief of Staff for his predecessor Felipe Fuentes.
A native of Maidstone, he graduated from Oakwood Park Grammar School.
