Ray Lewis is a former director of technical services for Wolverhampton City Council, involved in the development of the Midland Metro light rail system which operates between Birmingham and Wolverhampton in the English West Midlands county.[1][2]
He was honoured in 2003 when Wolverhampton City Council chose to name one of the Midland Metro trams, vehicle number 3, after him.[1] Other vehicles in the fleet were named after former Lord Mayors of Birmingham, or local celebrities.[1]
