Summary
The Taurus Reach is a mysterious section of space watched over by Starbase 47, a.k.a. Vanguard. It is home to the Shedai, an ancient race of aliens that have been in suspended animation. They have awakened, threatening Vanguard, the U.S.S. Sagittarius and peace for the Federation.
Background Information
The cover features the USS Sagittarius, an Archer-class starship. The vessel was designed by Masao Okazaki, who was also responsible for the design of Vanguard Station.
