History
The album was recorded in Los Angeles in early 2011 with producer Garth Richardson, known for his production work with band such as Biffy Clyro and Rage Against the Machine. The album was mixed and mastered by long time collaborators Matt O'Grady and John Mitchell at Matt O'Grady's home studios in Woking, Surrey. The album is also to feature guest vocalists Oli Sykes and Winston McCall respectively. You Me at Six had to delay the video shoot for "Loverboy" due to the London Riots 2011. The "Loverboy" video was premiered on 28 August on their YouTube channel. The video continues the Prison theme on this album. On 30 August, Track 4 on the album "This Is the First Thing" was leaked on to Tumblr, although this was confirmed to be a demo version. The "Loverboy" single has three additional tracks which are the instrumental and acoustic versions of the single, also an exclusive B-side titled "Moon Child". On 22 September, You Me At Six played a live session for Radio 1 covering Foo Fighter's songs "Bridge Burning", "All My Life" and "Best of You" as well as "Loverboy" and a world exclusive live version of Sinners Never Sleep track "Little Death" [7] The song "Jaws on the Floor" was played exclusively on Kerrang! radio on 26 September. Bite My Tongue, featuring a guest appearance from Bring Me the Horizon vocalist Oli Sykes, was then released on 28 November. On 19 October, You Me At Six took to Twitter to announce they would be shooting the Bite My Tongue video in Los Angeles the same day. Artwork for 'Jaws On The Floor' was leaked onto the internet creating speculation that it will be the third single from the album. However it was confirmed that the 3rd single will, in fact, be "No One Does It Better" as the band wanted to mix stuff up as Loverboy was rock and Bite My Tongue was heavy they wanted a soft follow up to show how their sounds differ. The band shot the video while playing their LA date of their American tour and has appeared in various music media. The fourth and last single from Sinners Never Sleep has been revealed by You Me At Six on their Twitter to be "Reckless".
