Red Mountain High School is a public high school in Mesa, Arizona. It opened in 1988, with Robert Free the founding principal. In the 1994-95 and 1995-96 school years, it was honored as a Blue Ribbon school.[2] RMHS received the 2014 A+ School Award under the direction of Dr. Gerald Slemmer, principal (2004-2014). On May 2, 2016, Red Mountain High School found itself in the national spotlight, due to an incident in which a student had exposed his genitals in a photograph that was published an the 2015-2016 school yearbook.[3]
