Red Rain (film)

Red Rain is a 2013 science fiction thriller film written and directed by Rahul Sadasivan. The film stars Narain, Mohan Sharma, Tini Tom, Shari, Devan, Leona Lishoy, Andrea Fortis and Sergio Kalei. Red Rain was produced by Sachin Sadasivan under the banner Highlands Entertainment and released theatrically in India on 6 December 2013. The story focuses on a young researcher named Jay (Narain) who becomes convinced that the strange phenomena are a result of extraterrestrial life. The film was loosely based on the Kerala red rain phenomenon.[1]

Plot

A young scientist search for the mysterious events behind the strange deaths of cattles and bright lights in sky. He sets on a journey to find the truth and fears of something more frightening to come.

Critical Reception

Red rain received generally positive feedback from audience. The subject seems elusive and deep for the normal class but it sure had a fan following from an A class audience. After its premiere on television, many praised on Rahul’s Direction and Narain’s performance. Many commended for its fresh visual style and subject, calling it an undeniably haunting and visually stunning experience.
