Red Rock Entertainment Ltd [1] is a film investment and production company based at Elstree Film Studios in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire UK.[2] Home to some of the biggest TV shows on British television and the studio of choice for many successful British films. Red Rock entertainment, work alongside UK Independent film, TV, and Distribution companies. The company acts as executive producers sourcing investment and finance for film and TV projects. Red Rock Entertainment is owned and run by managing director Gary Collins.[3]

Red Rock Entertainment primarily works on projects that are at an advanced stage and are looking for the final amount of financing. Their sole focus is on film and TV projects that have a commercial appeal, an identifiable audience, moderately low and controllable costs and a sound financial structure.

Background

In February 2016 Red Rock Entertainment announced that they are financing the film, 'That Good Night'[4] based on the play written by N.J.Crisp. The film will star John Hurt.[5][6] and starts to shoot in March across locations on the Algarve coastline of Portugal. Additional casting is expected to be announced shortly.

Red Rock Entertainment is also currently involved in the production of The Stolen ,[7] which started shooting in New Zealand at the beginning of February 2016. Starring Jack Davenport, Ashley Greene, Graham McTavish, Richard O´Brien. Directed by Niall Johnson, written by Niall Johnson [8] and Emily Corcoran.

Red Rock Entertainment has also helped finance Breakdown[9] and Cartel, working alongside production company Impact Entertainment.[10]

Breakdown stars Craig Fairbrass,[11] James Cosmo, Olivia Grant, Mem Ferda, Tamer Hassan and Bruce Payne. Breakdown is [12] directed by Jonnie Malachi, produced by Luke Fairbrass, executive producers include Gary Collins, Craig Fairbrass and Luke Fairbrass.[13] The action-thriller had its red carpet screening at the Odeon, Convent Garden, London in January 2016.[14]

Red Rock Entertainment helped finance, Heretiks [15] a horror movie,[16] starring Claire Higgins, Ania Marson, Rosie Day, Hannah Arteton, Katie Sheridan, Emily Tucker, Michael Ironside. Directed by Paul Hyett and written by Gregory Blair. Which started filming in December 2015.

Red Rock Entertainment helped financed the psychological thriller, Extremis. Written and directed by award winning Steven Stone, his previous film Entity won Best Low Budget Film at the London Independent Film Festival 2013. Extremis stars, David O'Hara(Braveheart, The Departed, Luther) Isabelle Allen, (Les Miserables), Lisa Gormley, (Home and Away) Neil Pearson, Toyah Wilcox, Nick Cornwall, Bill Fellows and Stuart Sessions. Extremis starting filming in Huddersfield In March 2015. The special screening of the movie for investors was held in March in London 2016.

Red Rock financed the feature film Eye Digress (aka The Special One) directed by Stephen Cookson and starring British actor Timothy Spall,[17] both also worked together in a 2011 British Christmas film My Angel. Timothy Spall is to play the lead in the film, as well as play all the other roles.[18] Eye Digress started filming in August 2015.

Red Rock financed the horror film, Await Further Instructions, directed by Johnny Kevorkian and written by Gavin Williams, starring David Bradley, (Harry Potter, Game Of Thrones) Abigail Cruttenden, Sam Gittins, Holly Weston, Grant Masters, Neerja Naik and Kris Saddler.

Red Rock Entertainment were also involved in the production of The Comedian’s Guide to Survival,[19][20] which started shooting in Canada at the end of July 2015.[21] The Comedian’s Guide to Survival features The Inbetweeners[22] James Buckley,[23] along with comedians Paul Kaye,[24] Jimmy Carr and Omid Djalili.[25][26]

Red Rock Entertainment, financed The London Firm a crime thriller, directed by Neil Horner written by Allen Beaver and Neil Horner, Starring Vincent Regan, Kumud Pant, Jon Campling, Stephen Marcus, Robert Cavanah and Seb Castang. The film was released October 26, 2015.

Red Rock Entertainment [27] is a corporate partner of Rays of Sunshine,[28] a non-profit organization that was formed in 2003. Red Rock Entertainment, actively work in partnership with Rays of Sunshine Children's Charity, brighten the lives of children who are living with serious or life-limiting illnesses. Red Rock Entertainment not only sponsors wishes but enables the children’s wishes.

Red Rock Entertainment, organise some exclusive behind the scenes experiences within the film industry. In the last few years, Red Rock Entertainment have organised on set visits to Elstree Studios, to watch and meet the cast of BBC Strictly Come dancing[29] and set visits to Channel 4 Big Brother .[30] They also organise meet and greet’s with actors and pop singers such as, The X-Factor Olly Murs,[31][32] Timothy Spall[33] and James Buckley from the Inbetweeners.

In 2016 Red Rock Entertainment, granted a wish for Jason Stewart to travel to London to be a part of a very special Short Film Competition hosted by Red Rock Entertainment and the Century Club. The teen got to spend time chatting with film director Chelsea Grant, who had recently made her own short film, Titiro.

Thanks to Templeheart Films and Red Rock Entertainment Jason then got exclusive access to the UKs largest International genre film festival showcasing the best horror, Sci-Fi and thriller films in Glasgow, where he got to meet esteemed horror director, Paul Hyett Paul, directed The Seasoning House and Howl, spent some time with Jason before premiering the trailer for his latest film Heretiks. [34][35]

Red Rock also holds Private Screenings , for their latest projects, with spoken remarks by producers, writers and actors.

Red Rock also organises, Film Investment Seminars at Elstree Studios, The seminar's are designed to help potential investors understand how film investment works.[36]

In February 2016 Red Rock held a short film competition[37] at the Century Club. [38] The panel consisted of Phillip Ilson,[39] Director of the London Short Film[40] Festival and shorts programmer for the BFI London Film Festival, Roger Morris, Managing Director of Elstree Studios, Stephen Cookson, Award winning writer and director, Linda Robson, Actress best known for ‘Birds of a Feather’ and ‘Loose Women´ and Gary Collins, Managing Director of Red Rock Entertainment. They announced Alice Trueman as the winner and hope to make the Red Rock film competition an annual event, to help aspiring film makers further there career.
