Redcar Academy, formerly Redcar Community College is co-educational secondary school with academy status located in Redcar, North Yorkshire, England.[1][2]
The Headteacher, Christine Parker, was appointed in September 2011 and the school was made an academy in December 2011.
The Academy can cater for over 1000 pupils, however current admission figures report the Academy currently has between 700-800 pupils on roll.
The Academy is a Specialist in Visual and Performing Arts.
Exam results
Redcar Academy achieved the following results for the GCSE’s 2012-2013[3]
- 94.2% achieved 5 A* to C grades
- 95.5% achieved 1 A to G grade
- 42.6% achieved 5 A* to C grades including English and Maths
- 24.5% achieved 3 A* to A grades.
