Reed Infomedia India

Reed Infomedia India was a joint venture company between Reed Business Information and Infomedia India Ltd.. The joint venture was established in 2006. The first Magazine, JCK India, was launched in September 2006.

Reed Business Information is a division of the £ 5.398 billion, Reed Elsevier Group; Infomedia has a Turnover of Rs 2 billion.[1]

The company has launched the following publications in India: JCK India magazine (for the Jewelry trade), Variety (magazine) (film), Flight International, Logistics Management (magazine). It plans to add the magazines Control Engineering and ICIS (on the chemical and pharmaceutical industries).

Closure

Reed Business information pulled out of the Joint-Venture with Infomedia in March 2009, resulting in India operations closing down. However, two titles that were already in the market were licensed to Infomedia.
