Restaurants Unlimited Inc

Restaurants Unlimited, Inc. (RUI) was founded in 1968 when it opened its first of many successful restaurants. Currently, there are 22 sub-brands under the RUI parent company, with locations in 47 U.S. cities, spread in 11 states, with Hawaii and Alaska included. [1] Some of the award-winning restaurants are: Skates on the Bay, Portland City Grill, Manzana Grill, Palisade and Cutters Crabhouse. Among the multi-unit brands are Stanford's, Henry's Tavern, Kincaid's, Palomino Restaurant & Bar and Portland Seafood Company. Each restaurant brand has its own cuisine and theme, being fit for both business and romantic dinners. [2]

RUI offers membership in the RUI Rewards Program called "Eat Drink & Earn Club," with additional benefits to member-customers.[3]

The company HQ is in Seattle, and it is owned by Sun Capital Partners, a private equity firm.[4]

In July 2015, there was a change in RUI’s management, with the company naming Jim Eschweiler as president and CEO. Eschweiler brings 20 years of experience in various business areas at high-growth hospitality and retail companies, and has an MBA in finance from the University of Washington's Michael G. Foster School of Business, and a BS in accounting from Marquette University.[5]
