Restless has received mixed reviews from critics. Allmusic described the album in summary as "simple, energetic pop/rock fun", but focused heavily on similarities to the Killers and a lack of originality.[6] Amateur reviewer Polina of Future Entertainment gave the album seven stars, saying "It’s almost unnatural to inhibit yourself, and not start moving to the sounds of album."[8] Giving the album a negative review is Tahlia Pritchard of the AU Review, who said "Unfortunately after "Faded White Dress", the CD starts to sound all too the same. Catchy songs, yes, but nothing to really make me overly excited", as well as mentioning a lack of versatility.[7]
