Revision Quiz Maker is a multi-platform learning system created by Nicholas Daly in Durham, United Kingdom. It was originally launched as an iOS app but due to popularity subsequently expanded to include Android, Windows and an online site.[1] [2] [3] As of December 2015 the learning environment has over 68,000 users.[4] [5]

Functionality

As a learning environment, Revision Quiz Maker lets registered users create quizzes specific to their own course as well as playing quizzes made by others. Quizzes can be shared across Apple, Android and Windows devices by using the online site.

Ongoing Development

A new and improved native Android app was release to the general public on 24 January 2016.[6] A native Windows 10 app is currently being developed and is set to be released in 2017. [7]

Media Reception

Reviews of Revision Quiz Maker have generally been positive with APPEd Review giving it 4/5 stars for productivity and recommending its use in the classroom. However, APPEd criticised the iOS App for not allowing teachers to review the score of their student, a shortcoming version 2.6 has addressed. [8] SensorTower reports an average users satisfaction rating of 4.5/5 stars for the iOS App. [9]
