Rex Christopher Shelton Koelmeyer
Rex Christopher Shelton Koelmeyer, SLOS was a Sri Lankan diplomat. He was Ceylon's Ambassador to Sweden and Permanent Representative of Ceylon to the UN in Geneva.
Educated at the Royal College, Colombo, Koelmeyer entered the University of Ceylon. After graduating he had joined the Ceylon Overseas Service. During his years of service, he had served in many foreign missions culminating in the appointment as first Ceylon's Ambassador/Permanent Representative to the UN in Geneva in 1965. Thereafter he was appointed as Sri Lankan Ambassador to Sweden in 1970 and he was the first Sri Lankan Ambassador in Sweden to be concurrently accredited to Denmark.[1]
