Ria Atayde (born March 23, 1992) is a Filipina actress. Her first role was as Teacher Hope Cruz on the ABS-CBN show, Ningning. Atayde is the daughter of actress Sylvia Sanchez, sister of actor Arjo Atayde, and cousin of Coleen Garcia.
Early life
Atayde was born and raised in the Philippines. She is the daughter of Sylvia Sanchez (aka Jossette Campo Atayde), a veteran actress, and Arturo Atayde, a businessman. She has three siblings; Juan Carlos (Arjo Atayde who is also an actor), Maria Angela (Gela), and Juan Arturo Xavier (Xavi). She is an alumna of Saint Pedro Poveda College, an exclusive private school, and De La Salle University where she took up Communication Arts and graduated in June 2014. She was a class officer since her primary school years and eventually went on to become the Executive Secretary of the University Student Government in DLSU. At the age of 23, she decided to pursue her dream to become an actress.
