Richard Deitsch
Richard Deitsch is an American sportswriter. He has written for Sports Illustrated since 1997, where he currently writes a sports media column.[1]
Deitsch has a B.A. in communications and political science from the University at Buffalo and an M.S. from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.[1] He is currently an adjunct professor at Columbia.
During the 2008-09 academic year, he was at the University of Michigan, studying as a Knight-Wallace Fellow. While there, he examined the intersection of 20-somethings and the sports blogosphere.[1]
Deitsch is known for his criticism of several prominent sports media figures, including Darren Rovell, Jason Whitlock, Clay Travis, Skip Bayless, and Piers Morgan.[2] Deitsch is based in New York City.[1]
