Richard Karl Eichler (3 April 1903 – 31 January 1943) was a highly decorated Oberst in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Richard Eichler was killed on 31 January 1943 and was posthumously promoted to Oberst on 15 February 1943.
