Richard Keith (born November 29, 1982 in North Carolina) is an American actor, writer and director who is known as a writer for creating The CW series, Significant Mother and his short film Grow Up Already (which he also directed) and as an actor for his roles as Intern Mitch on the American television series Grey's Anatomy and Roger on the American television series Quintuplets.
Biography
As an actor, Keith has appeared on many TV shows, including NCIS, Veronica Mars, Boston Public, Grey's Anatomy and Desperate Housewives. Keith has written, directed and produced feature films, short films, television shows, webisodes, and live sketch comedy. He produced and directed his first feature, Smoking Herb when he was 18 years old. On television, Keith recently served as a consulting producer on the Animal Planet series Groomer Has It, produced by 3Ball Productions. On the web he has written, directed, and produced over twenty webisodes, starring well known actors such as Matthew Lillard, Lea Thompson, Neil Flynn, John Hawkes, and Danny Pudi. And Keith's short film Grow Up Already, which was produced by Tom Rice and Sycamore Pictures (Can a Song Save Your Life, The Way Way Back) and stars Johnny Simmons, Odette Annable, Frances Fisher and Ethan Suplee, is currently wrapping festival circuit, having played at over a dozen festivals including The Heartland Film Festival, The Napa Valley Film Festival, and the LA Shorts Fest. The film is now available online at IndieFlix.com and is currently airing on the ShortsHD Network on DirecTV & AT&T U-Verse and playing on television in the island nation of Japan..
Keith, who is a big fan of punctuation in his titles, and his writing partner Erin Cardillo have just signed a one year development deal with the FOX network, for whom they are developing a 1/2 hour series, We're Not Your Parents! which they would also serve as producers on. In addition the duo's digital series Significant Mother which was produced for the CW Seed, was just picked up as an on-air series by The CW. The series which is being produced by Cardillo and Keith as well as Les Morganstein and Tripp Reed at Alloy Entertainment. Keith's solo feature, Fall is currently set up at Castle Rock entertainment, with Rob Reiner attached to direct. Keith will also produce.
